WELCOME TO THE BARBARA WINN MEMORIAL LIBRARY

Barbara Winn Memorial LibraryThe library is located on the second floor of First United Methodist Church down the hall from the sanctuary and across from the choir room.

There are over 2,200 books on a wide variety of subjects, some of which are:

  • Biography, autobiography, fiction and featured authors
  • Christian living, inspiration and spiritual life
  • Devotions, poetry and prayer
  • Men’s nurture, women, relationships, parenting and self-esteem
  • Seniors, special needs and Stephen Ministry
  • Methodism, ministry, theology and commentaries
  • Humor, geography and archaeology
  • Bible study on both the Old and New Testaments, St. Paul
  • Christian ethics and doctrine
  • We also have a nice selection of DVDs and videos

We appreciate donations of Christian literature any time during the year.
If you have read a good book and wish to review it for the website, it is a welcome opportunity to share your thoughts in a positive way.  Submit your review to Sandy@hvlfumc.org

If you wish to sign out a book or DVD, just sign the card and put it in the box on the desk.  Please return it within six weeks so someone else can enjoy it.

The library is a comfortable place to come, relax and pick up a good book.  Reading Christian literature is fruit for the soul, gives peace of mind and develops a closer relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
